MPRM was founded in 1998 by public relations veterans Rachel McCallister
and Mark Pogachefsky.

Rachel McCallister

Co-founder and Chairman

Rachel McCallister

Co-founder and Chairman of MPRM Communications, Rachel McCallister is a change agent, focusing on clients that are changing the way content is created, consumed and distributed as well as those whose mission is to make the world a better place. She started in television, working on shows like Dynasty, ALF and In Living Color and launching networks like E! Entertainment Television FX and The WB. She added digital entertainment to her portfolio with the launch of RealNetworks, Broadcast.com, Overture and Movielink, among others. McCallister was recognized by the Publicists Guild of America with its Les Mason Award for outstanding career achievement. She is on the board of PROI International, is a former governor of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and chair emeritus of TPEC (Television Publicity Executive Committee). She founded Rachel McCallister & Associates and co-founded KillerApp Communications, which were merged into MPRM in 1998.

Mark Pogachefsky

Co-founder and President

Mark Pogachefsky

Co-founder and President of MPRM Communications, Mark Pogachefsky is passionate about filmed content and is particularly sought after as a thought leader in the sphere of independent film. In addition to providing strategic counsel to production and distribution companies, he helms the agency’s presence at the Sundance, Cannes and Toronto Film Festivals. Over the years, his film campaign highlights have included Milk, The Visitor, In The Bedroom, Memento, Elizabeth, You Can Count on Me, The Ice Storm, L.A. Confidential, The Usual Suspects, sex, lies and videotape and Fargo. He founded The Pogachefsky Company in 1992, which was merged into MPRM in 1998. He serves on the Outfest board of directors and is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.

Alan Amman

Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Alan Amman

Alan Amman serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Amman, who joined the agency 1995, was instrumental in launching and growing the company’s home entertainment business and has been integrally involved in campaigns introducing technologies ranging from DTS, Dolby Digital Cinema, 3D and Blu-ray, among others. Prior to joining MPRM, Amman served as Senior Vice President Publicity and Promotions for 20th Century Fox and held executive positions at studios including New Line Cinema, Orion Pictures, Lorimar Filmed Entertainment and MGM/UA.

Rene Ridinger

VP of Entertainment

Rene Ridinger

As VP of Entertainment, Rene Ridinger oversees MPRM clients spanning film, television and home entertainment. She provides strategic counsel and media savvy — traditional and social — to clients that include The Voice, Radius-TWC and Lionsgate Home Entertainment, among others. With a multi-faceted background in trade, consumer and international campaigns, Ridinger oversaw publicity campaigns for Alias, Ally McBeal, The Practice, CSI: Miami, Walt Disney Television Animation, and PBS, before joining MPRM. Ridinger is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Psychology.

Karlyn Nelson

Karlyn Nelson

VP of Entertainment Karlyn Nelson focuses her efforts on developing strategic corporate communications and publicity campaigns for content and companies in television, advertising and media. She oversees clients ranging from Bunim/Murray Productions and YouTube to showrunners Glen Mazzara, Callie Khouri and Greg Yaitanes to name a few. Prior to joining MPRM, Nelson worked at Freud Communications and has served as Director of Corporate Communications at ad agencies including DraftFCB and Leo Burnett, working with blue-chip marketers, including Kraft, Procter & Gamble, Nintendo and the U.S. Army. Nelson graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in journalism.

Jacqueline Cavanagh

An industry innovator in digital communications, Jackie Cavanagh is a VP of entertainment overseeing the MPRM digital media team. She has conducted numerous red carpet, music, film, television and home entertainment campaigns for clients including EMI Music, Walt Disney Studios, Universal Studios Home Entertainment, Esquire, The Wall Street Journal, USA Network, IFC, Fuse, The Paley Center for Media and AMC’s Emmy award-winning television series Mad Men and Breaking Bad.

Inma Carbajal

With more than 16 years experience in consumer and entertainment publicity, promotions, and marketing, Inma has played a major role in Hispanic campaigns for theatrical and home entertainment releases for top studios e.g., Universal, WB, Disney and more. In addition, she has been a personal publicist for Latino personalities.
Over the years, she has also worked on a variety of consumer, television and fashion brands including Disney Consumer Products, Chef Merito, GaviƱa Coffee, Endemol Shine Latino, American Idol, MundoMax, Hallmark Movie Channel, Ashdon Inc., Square, Verizon, TJ Maxx, Payless and Azteca America.
